We are looking for a Project Manager - Quoting Specialist in our DeKalb, IL location.

 

Responsibilities

• Solicit and develop customer relationships and with existing and new accounts as directed by the Director, Account Management

• Review plans and specifications, generate proposals, and handle customer inquiries

• Assist Sales in acquiring and processing customers’ needs and requests

• At times, perform as the account lead where no salesperson is assigned or the customers segment warrants direct service

• Regular follow up with customers and rep’s to build relationships and ensure proposals, deliverables and other communications meet our customer’s needs

• Generate various conceptual drawings, sketches, and specifications on specific jobs

• Support company’s network of independent sales representatives as needed

• Interact with various departments as needed to support sales and complete tasks

• Attend various market specific trade shows; interact with customers; build relationships

• Generate internal requests for engineering design and estimates based on customer requirements

• Review estimates and prepare final sales proposals

• Maintain quoting/product databases as well as Salesforce.com opportunities

• Process sales orders and coordinate with other departments for proper product delivery

• Service customer requests to price repairs, replacements, or begin the process of warranty work

• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Account Management.

 

Formal Education & Certification

 

Degree in engineering, industrial distribution, business administration or related field is desirable

 

Knowledge & Experience

• Excellent organizational and time management skills;

• Ability to read and understand technical/construction plans and specifications;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• General knowledge of construction procedures and processes desirable but not required;

• Knowledge of various Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Explorer.

• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com.com.com and AutoCAD desirable but not required
