We are looking for a Sales Team Leader can work remote but preferably in our Kansas City, MO location                                              

SUMMARY:       

Sales Team Leader is responsible for all outside sales efforts within a given territory. The Sales Leader will have a sales target based on previous activity in the region and expected growth. The Sales Leader will strategically position the company to win desirable work and maintain/develop “preferred vendor” status within the target markets.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, hire, train, and develop independent reps as required by market;
  • Direct sales primarily to your specified market;
  • Recommend and develop specific sales and marketing programs for the region;
  • Identify, solicit and close new account activity;
  • Bid document review and clarifications on strategic projects;
  • Pricing and bidding of jobs based on predetermined guidelines;
  • Technical presentations to customer base including consulting engineers, facility owners, contractors, industry organizations and representatives;
  • Direct customer follow up to ensure preferred position and close business;
  • Interact with various departments as needed to support sales and complete tasks; and
  • Attend various market specific trade shows.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree in engineering, industrial distribution, business administration or related field is desirable
  • Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturer rep management in an industry/product related field
  • Ability to interact with various levels of influence and decision makers
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical/construction plans and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General knowledge of Dry Bulk market

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional and decimal numbers.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Application experience with various Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Explorer, Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
