Job Title:                     Maintenance Technician (2nd shift 4:30pm - 2:30am)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for carrying out preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery, to improve up-time and improve efficiencies, special projects to enhance safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives that support company goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mechanical repair of equipment
• Lube machines
• Participates in continuous improvement and special projects
• Assists in documenting repair and Pm procedures
• Basic math skills and problem-solving mentality
• Required to drive forklift

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• H.S Diploma/ GED
• 3-5 yrs + Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience with Welding
• Experience with electrical work
• 3-5 yrs + Industrial electrical experience
• 3+ yrs power tools experience

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret written instructions/procedures
• Ability to understand preventative maintenance schedules

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Intermediate shop math required

 

REASONING ABILITY

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.
• Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Advanced level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently and or up to 20lbs of force constantly to move objects.
