Description
Position Summary
Supervises, establishes, and coordinates the production schedule to ensure continuous flow of material, parts, glass sheets and assemblies between or within all departments of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows all company safety and security policies
  • Coordinates all Production Control department activities to prevent outages, wait time, excessive inventory, overscheduling of work centers, and minimal changeovers.
  • Coordinates production activities, planning, and scheduling with other managers and supervisor
  • Plan, review, release and stage material to shop orders which maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Evaluates system performance and recommends, implements, and sustains improvements
  • Ensures Production Control team members are following all required daily, weekly, and monthly system task & procedures.
  • Monitor work order execution and adjust schedules accordingly
  • Utilizes and updates all planning and scheduling tools.
  • Recognizes potential upcoming bottlenecks or capacity restraints, communicates these with management, purchasing, production, and PM team along with solutions of how to prevent or avoid.
  • Create and maintain production Plans and Schedules to meet budgeted plant output
  • Maintain ERP/ Portal scheduling and forecasting data
  • Encourages and promotes process improvements, facilitates a problem-solving team, and best practice development.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Review and understand current and upcoming production plans in order to alert manufacturing team.
  • Will be required to lead and coordinate with the production control team on execution of tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • BS Degree preferred or equivalent education/experience
  • Familiar with current technology concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Three to five years manufacturing experience with three years in the areas of Planning/Scheduling
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft programs)
  • Experience with ERP systems, Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Has proven track record of detail-oriented experience

  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Intermediate MS Office Skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 AM – 5 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
