Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Parts and Service Manager at CST Industries' is responsible for managing all aftermarket parts and service operations. This includes coordinating customer support for replacement parts, overseeing field service requests, and ensuring timely, accurate responses to customer needs. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical knowledge, leadership, and a customer-first mindset to support the long-term performance of CST products in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations related to parts sales and service coordination at the DeKalb facility.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, identify appropriate parts, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Technical Sales to resolve issues related part delays, stock shortages or pricing.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels; recommending purchased and restocking of parts.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, parts catalogs, and warranty records.
  • Track key performance indicators such as service responsiveness, customer satisfaction, and parts sales.
  • Identify and implement improvements to service efficiency, inventory control, and customer support processes.
  • Develop strategic promotional sale on AG parts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of experience in a parts and service management role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with welding, fabrication, or tank construction is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Advanced level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Walk: Must be able to move throughout the manufacturing plant, office areas, and occasionally visit outdoor areas or customer sites.
  • Use hands/fingers: Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, phones, office equipment, and occasionally handle mechanical parts or tools.
  • Sit and stand: Must be able to perform duties both at a desk and on the shop floor; standing and walking on concrete flooring will be frequent.
  • Climb and balance: May occasionally need to climb stairs or ladders during facility walkthroughs or while inspecting equipment.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Infrequently required, but may occur during inspections or service-related tasks.
  • Talk/hear: Constant communication required with team members, customers, and other departments; must be able to exchange accurate information clearly.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily office-based within a manufacturing plant, with regular time spent on the shop floor.
  • Exposure to typical plant conditions including noise, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday; flexibility may be required for occasional travel or overtime depending on business needs.
