Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Generate and publish accurate production schedules showing the tasks and resources required to meet business objectives by completing below duties and responsibilities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Help Develop weekly and monthly production schedules to meet budgeted plant output in absence of scheduler.

· Maintain/Update changes to manufacturing schedules.

· Monitor manpower and overtime requirements, keeping Plant manager informed of forecasted headcount needs.

· Monitor Engineering release dates to aid in developing manufacturing schedules.

· Track and report revenue and shipments daily.

· Create and maintain various reports and Worksheets

· Attend daily fabrication meeting with current status.

· Report non-typical tanks/parts and communicate gaps and actions required.

· Interface with Sales to update forecast.

· Manage the Sales and Operations Planning process in collaboration with materials/operations- leadership.

· Interface with Operations Management team in keeping the factory workload level loaded.

· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

· High School Diploma

· Prefer experience scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

· Knowledge of various computer software applications including work processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

· MRP experience required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Ability to read and interpret CST and customer prints and documents.

· Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional and decimal numbers.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

· Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

· Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.

· Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

· Advanced level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Walk, must be able to move about inside the manufacturing and office and occasionally on a construction site or outside of the manufacturing facility.

· Use hands/fingers to feel, must be able to operate computers, machinery, dimensional equipment.

· Sit and stand, must be able to work at a stationary desk that may require sitting or standing. Standing on concrete floor and uneven terrain will be required frequently.

· Climb and balance, must climb stairs and ladders.

· Stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.

· Talk/hear, must be able to communicate with operators and management frequently and exchange accurate information.

· Lift and carry weights of 50lbs.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

· The working environment is generally favorable.

· Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust in the office environment, with standard office equipment.

· However, position will require entry into a heavy manufacturing environment for up to 5o % of time.

· While in the manufacturing facility, employee may occasionally work near heavy industrial equipment and machinery with moving mechanical parts.

· Employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

· Noise level that is moderate to loud.

· Employee will be required to wear appropriate PPE while on the manufacturing floor including ear protection, safety glasses, and long pants.
