Position Summary

The Shipping/Receiving primary purpose is to pick and pack parts, load and unload finished goods and raw materials, as well as receive incoming goods. Success in this position is measured by maintaining efficiency goals to satisfy client needs and demands.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supporting the completion of customer orders by picking and packing parts and parts boxes required in bill of materials verifying for accuracy.

· Load finished goods and unload raw materials checking against bill of materials and bills of lading.

· Receive incoming materials, parts etc. and log into system.

· Cross training in other areas of the department.

· Operates sit-down forklift

· Out of department material handling

· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· H.S. Diploma or equivalent

· 3-6 months experience

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Read, write and speak in English.

· Ability to follow oral and written work instructions
 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

· Basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply, divide, count.

 

REASONING ABILITY

· Ability to use scales accurately

· High attention to detail

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

· Basic Computer Skills – must be able to use company system

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00AM –3:30PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
