Job Summary

Manages sales activities of assigned accounts, territory and product line by performing the following duties personally. Remote position Northeast (territory is Northeast).

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct and organize the marketing, external sales and internal sales activities for the assigned area. 
  • Control and update CRM accounts, opportunities, and other relevant sales details for reporting purposes.
  • Reviews customer information to determine customer needs, volume potential and discount rates as they relate to the assigned region, and develops sales campaigns to close individual sales.
  • Recommends to the assigned accounts product simplification and standardization.
  • Represents company at trade shows to promote product.
  • Coordinates liaison between assigned region, accounts, and CST personnel.
  • Controls personal expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.
  • Coordinate and optimize travel within assigned territory.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree in engineering, industrial distribution, business administration or related field is desirable
  • Preferred 5+ years of proven industrial and/or capital equipment sales or business development responsibility
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical/construction plans and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Water/wastewater experience beneficial
 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general-public.

 

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

 

Other Skills And Abilities:

  • Prepare quotes and estimates from customer specifications.
  • Up to 50% Travel and public speaking abilities are required.
  • Access to personal transportation is required for travel.
