Position Summary
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the production schedule for fabrications, glass, and parts to provide effective coordination and communication to Production Control Manager and Operations to meet customer demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain weekly/monthly production schedules aligned with plant output targets. Production schedules include machine shop, parts, Ag, fabrications and glass all aligning to support the overall customer commitments made by the organization.
• Schedule approved jobs into designated ship weeks determined by availability.
• Interface with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to prioritize and plan production activities. Serve as process partner between all departments.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including scheduling and/or inventory control.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in Supply Chain, ERP and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Language Skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical and procedural documents.
• Ability to write clear, professional reports and records.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole, fractional, and decimal numbers.
Reasoning Ability
• Apply common sense to solve practical problems.
• Handle problems involving variables in standardized settings.
• Make sound decisions and know when to escalate issues or adapt plans.
Computer Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with D365 or other ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
Physical Demands
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands/fingers.
• Occasional climbing stairs, kneeling, stooping, or crouching.
• Ability to talk, hear, and see clearly.
