Position Summary
The Picker / Packer's primary purpose is to perform production work such as picking materials and verifying items for accuracy before packing. Success in this position is measured by maintaining efficiency goals to satisfy client needs and demands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supporting the completion of customer orders.
• Verifying for accuracy.
• Cross training in other areas of the department.
• Operates Forklift (stand up and sit down)
• Out of department material handling

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• H.S. Degree / GED plus 1 - 2+ yrs. experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Read, write and speak in English.
• Follows oral and written work instructions
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply, divide, count.
COMPUTER SKILLS
• Basic Computer Skills – must be able to use company system

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM –2:30PM or 7: 00 AM – 3:30 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at the Management’s discretion with prior notice.
