Description
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager, Dry Bulk within the Western US & Canada Region.

Here are some details about this position:  Reporting to Director - Dry Bulk Sales, the position is vital to the growth of business and will be assessed based on revenue generation. Manages route to market – Primarily direct sales but may establish commissioned representative networks for assigned products.  Manage assigned territory (Western US & Canada) for maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Ideal candidate will be located in Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; or St. Louis, MO area - although can live anywhere within the territory. 

Responsibilities - Expectations:
  • Manage route to market – Primarily Direct Sales to end-users, OEM’s and through manufacturer reps
  • Support, Train, Hire, terminate and oversee any commissioned rep activities
  • Set region’s overall and annual action plans
  • Drive direct sales and rep sales to achieve region’s sales goals
  • Provide timely updates on competition
  • Develop key influencer relationships within the region: Engineers, Contractors, etc.
  • Must be able to establish strong partnerships with General Contractors, EPC and Engineering firms through networking and partnering on common projects.
  • Represent CST at key industry events, trade shows, and conferences to position yourself and CST as a strategic advisor.
Education & Experience: 
 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Construction or Engineering or related field
  • Willing to travel 50%+ of time, as needed
  • Working knowledge of the dry bulk industry as a whole, and experience in chemical, mineral, mining, plastics and/or frac sand markets preferred.
  • 5 Years of proven industrial sales with direct customer accounts.  Experience selling large Capital Goods and Projects to either end user owners, architects, engineer, OEM’s, etc. is preferable
  • Experience with hiring/managing and establishing a representative network in industrial markets
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience reporting to senior level management team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable making presentations in front of small to medium sized groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
  • Ability to work within a growth organization with progressive and evolving goals
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
  • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office, MS Excel. Familiarity and preferred efficiency with CRM management tools (Salesforce, SAP, etc.)
