Description
We are looking for an Credit and Collections Manager in our Lenexa, KS location.

Position Summary:
Responsibilities include setting up new customer credit lines, proactive and efficient cash collections, processing financial transactions through various computerized accounting systems, ensuring Company policies and procedures are followed, and maintaining custody of financial records in an organized fashion.  The position is classified as salary non-exempt reporting to the CST Corporate Controller.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Enters transactional information accurately and efficiently into the ERP systems as required;
  • Coordinates cash collection activities to keep DSO at or below target levels.
  • Maintain a tracking system to identify overdue accounts, reasons for overdue status, and track follow up status.
  • Prepares monthly review of Allowance for Doubtful Accounts.
  • Complete Applications for Payment (AFP) required ensuring draw payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate credit worthiness of new customers using relevant tools and recommend credit limits to management
  • Answers internal and external inquiries and maintain good relations with customers;
  • Maintains sub-ledger reports, reconciliations, and other spreadsheets as needed;
  • Follows appropriate policies and procedures;
  • Be able to create, maintain, and update policies & procedures directly related to task/duties of position
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum requirement of a two-year Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a credit/collections position, preferably in a manufacturing/construction environment;
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • 10-key by touch;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Strict attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information
