Description
We are looking for an Regional Sales Manager, Dry Bulk  covering our Southeastern US region.  The RSM will be located within the Southeastern US near a major airport, some top locations would be located within region of NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, LA, AR, MS, TX, OK, St. Louis or Kansas City offices; and will travel up to 50%. 

Reporting to Director - (Dry Bulk) Sales, the position is vital to the growth of business and will be assessed based on business development and revenue generation. Manages route to market – Primarily includes sales in partnership with “best in market” group of established, manufacturer’s representative networks, as well as direct to house/OEM accounts.  Manage assigned territory (Southeastern US Region) for maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.  Region includes strong focus within the Frac Sand, Cement/Concrete, Foods, Plastics, and Dry Chemical markets both at mine/production sites and transload installations throughout.
 
Responsibilities - Expectations:
 
Ongoing specific responsibilities and expectations include:
  • Ability to bring compelling value to our clients through establishing trust, developing key relationships of your role as client’s Strategic Advisor.
  • Manage route to market – Manufacturer’s Representatives, EPC, GC, OEM’s and direct to end users in order to maintain full understanding each unique project’s critical components; from first contact through hand-off to project management.
  • Support, train, hire, terminate and oversee manufacturer’s rep activities
  • Set region’s overall and annual action plans, with drive to execute plan
  • Provide product expertise, solution & application based sales in support of representatives as well as direct to decision makers to achieve region’s sales goals.
  • Develop key influencer relationships within the region: Engineers, Contractors, etc.
  • Active involvement in regional networking within key industry segments such as frac sand and plastics.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Construction or Engineering or related field
  • Experience working with manufacturers representatives or equivalent.
  • Oil & Gas, Dry Bulk or Material Handling experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in and around Mid-Stream O&G industry ideal, experience with FracSand material handling will receive priority
  • Willing to travel up to 50%+ of time, as needed.
  • Experience in sales cycles ranging up to 18 month. 
  • 5 Years of proven industrial sales with direct customer accounts.Experience selling large Capital Goods and Projects to either end user owners, architects, engineer, OEM’s, etc. is preferable
  • Experience with managing an established representative network in industrial markets
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience reporting to senior level management team
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
  • Ability to work within a growth organization with progressive and evolving goals
  • Discipline to self-manage for effective use of time/resources while being located in home-office environment.
  • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, PowerPoint, MS Office, MS Excel. Familiarity and preferred efficiency with CRM management tools (Salesforce, SAP, etc.)
