Reports To:  This position will report to the Vice President – Business Development for CST industries, Inc. located in our Lenexa, Kansas USA headquarters.  Preferably the position will be based in a region where significant market opportunity exists.

Position Overview:  The Global Business Development Director – Mining will be responsible for successfully developing this market segment by leveraging all the products and resources of CST across all divisions including CST Storage, CST Covers and CST International.  They will identify opportunity and direct business activities for this market segment throughout CST and will work with the Business Leaders of the divisions to maximize our potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Working across all CST divisions to assemble and define the CST product offering required to pursue opportunities in the target market.
  • Identifying the key accounts in the target markets, contact, qualify, determine key decision makers and initiate selling process personally and through existing CST distribution and selling channels.
  • Develop appropriate contractual and business relationships with prospects and customers to maximize CST potential in these accounts.
  • Team with marketing resources to develop sales presentations, literature and other sales tools needed to locate, prospect, qualify and close new business.
  • Leverage all selling resources of all CST companies to pursue new opportunities and provide sales training and reference resources needed to guide and direct their efforts.
  • Achieve Global New Orders and revenue goals annually for target market(s).
  • Developing pricing structures and programs to insure desired revenue streams.
  • Determine and help implement appropriate distribution channel strategy as needed to maximize market segment potential.
  • Defining and implementing process and procedure, as needed, to enable efficient proposal and quotation development for products that may be manufactured and delivered from multiple CST companies and locations.
  • International travel to develop new prospects and existing accounts.
  • Working with customer service and project management teams of CST companies to execute customer contracts & orders as needed.
  • Managing and inputting customer & contact data, deals & opportunities, and selling activities in customer relationship software (Salesforce.com).
  • Provide monthly and other periodic reports detailing performance and progress towards achieving goals and key action items
  • Identify and quantify any new products required for this market sector, develop in conjunction with the Director of Product development
  • Join any trade associations that you deem beneficial to promote CST’s products and position in the market
  • Keep up to date with market changes and educate organization on their impact

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Existing knowledge of CST’s products and the target market(s) is preferable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven product management – sales development experience of 7+ years with a progressively successful performance record.
  • Experience in identifying new prospects, developing multi-national accounts and interacting with mid to upper level executives.
  • Demonstrated communications skills and desire to be successful in a matrix management organization.
  • Superb presentation skills.
  • Solid language capabilities
  • Enhanced familiarity with common business software – word processing, spreadsheets, presentation programs, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
