Description
We are currently looking for a Director of Liquid Sales for CST Industries, Inc. this position will include up to 75% travel.  The ideal candidate will be located in the Kansas City area or near one of our plant locations throughout the US.  

Reporting the VP of Sales and Marketing, position is responsible for development and performance of all Liquid Sales activities in assigned market.  Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership toward achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.  Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the training of sales team and Regional Sales Managers. 
 
Responsibilities - Expectations:
 
Ongoing specific responsibilities and expectations include:
 
  • Develop annual Liquid Sales Plan with measurable objectives.  Develop/Manage to annual departmental budget and set departmental and region specific sales objectives.
  • Manage all RSM activities to meet forecasted sales.
  • Monitor productivity and motivate team to reach goals.  Coordinate activities and to meet sales targets.  Develop and report metrics performance to senior management.
  • Identify key accounts in the target markets, contact, qualify, determine key decision makers and initiate selling process personally and through existing CST distribution and selling channels.
  • Develop appropriate contractual and business relationships with prospects and customers to maximize CST potential in these accounts.
  • Team with marketing and sales resources to develop sales presentations, literature and other sales tools needed to locate, prospect, qualify and close new business.
  • Determine and help implement appropriate distribution channel strategy as needed to maximize market segment potential. Approve all rep appointments and terminations.
  • Working with customer service and project management teams of CST companies to execute customer contracts & orders as needed.
  • Managing and inputting customer & contact data, deals & opportunities, and selling activities in customer relationship software (Salesforce.com).
  • Keep up to date with market changes and educate organization on their impact
  • Identify and develop strategy to add new customers and grow the market space.
  • Supervise team in accordance with company policies & procedures.
 
Education & Experience: 
 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or related field
  • Willing to travel 50%+ of time
  • 5 Years of proven management experience
  • Demonstrated Leadership ability
  • Experience reporting to senior level management team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
  • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office
 
Location - Reporting:
 
The company maintains its headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri USA with divisional offices throughout the world.  Preferably the position will be based out of one of the US manufacturing facilities or main office. 
 
This position will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CST Storage located in our headquarters.
