Description
We are looking for a Lead Drafter in our Parsons, KS location.

 

Lead a drafting team of approximately nine drafters, in the daily processing of Dry Bolted tanks and various options. Responsible for implementing, developing, sustaining and improving safe, high quality drafting standards. Responsible for working closely with Sales & Project Management to provide preliminary and approval drawings and bills of material. Responsible for managing the manufacturing drawing and bill of material process. Responsible for constantly improving drafting processes to reduce errors and time throughout the quote, order and manufacturing processes.

• Safety.

• Quality.

• Always deliver work on time but never sacrifice safety and quality to do it.

• Supervising daily processing of orders and customer approval drawings

• Supervising various drafting and design projects

• Standardizing and improving current drafting workflow and processes

• Tracking and improving metrics for drafting efficiency and accuracy.

• Apply lean methodologies for improving group throughput

• Supervising development projects

• Work with Engineering IT to automate processes.

• Checking and grading drafter work

• Understanding 3D modeling

 

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Aided Design

• AutoCAD experience required (at least 1-5 years)

• Drafting Supervision Experience Required (at least 2 to 5 years)

• Supervisory training required (i.e. management courses, business degree, MBA, etc.)

• Solid modeling experience a plus

• Drafting automation experience a plus

• Experience with designing and drafting tanks a plus

• Minimal travel (Less than 3 weeks per year)

• Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times

• Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment

• High proficiency with computers skills, including email, and MS Office.

• Located in Parsons, KS.
