Description
We are looking for an Technical Support Analyst in our DeKalb, IL location. This is a Part-time position working approximately 20-30 hours per week.
As the Technical Support Analyst, you will be required to administer all aspects of Information Technology in support of the corporate IT organization, in accordance with overall company goals and objectives. You will maintain control and reliability of all IT-related systems, support end users having varying technical abilities, provide outstanding customer service at all levels within the organization, while frequently multitasking. The work requires knowledge of the policies, methods, and procedures of the field of information technology.
The Help Desk Support incumbent provides end user support on company provided hardware and software platforms. This is achieved by responding to user requests and diagnosing and resolving issues in a timely manner. This individual will also be required to document requests, solutions, and troubleshooting efforts for both internal and end user use.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor the helpdesk system for new tickets, create and update tickets as support is performed.
- Order, install, modify and remove hardware and software as per corporate standards
- Collaborates with other Business Technology team staff on a routine basis regarding technical troubleshooting and problem resolution, unit coverage, product recommendations and other projects as needed.
- Rollouts of new machines, cascading of existing equipment, and dissemination of new standard.
- Assists in maintaining inventory records on the SysAid Asset Management System.
- Solves configuration conflicts, improving software performance and user satisfaction levels.
- Performs needs assessment, product review and procurement advice for software and hardware, and advises end-users and IT management on recommendations.
- Performs institutional upgrades and sweeps, as needed, following Business Technology team established procedures for installation and machine configuration.
- Strong customer service skills
- XP and Windows 7 knowledge required.
- Experience with Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows 98 a plus
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in the various desktop operating system environments and basic desktop application suites, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and email
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated human relations and communications skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Two to Five years of applicable experience
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalency.
