Description
We are looking for an Structural Engineer which will be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and travel throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim . This position will report to the Director of International Engineering & Asia Managing Director.

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for safely creating and driving growth by applying and performing efficient and effective structural analysis to the design of bolted metal tanks and various options. Responsible for working closely with sales, project management, drafting resources, IT, and U.S./UK structural engineering teams. Constantly improve our engineering quality and on time performance. 

Responsibilities:
  • Bolted tank structural design and structural calculations
  • Structural review of drawings and structural design calculations for quotes and orders
  • Run STAAD software and utilize to assess and validate structural design methodologies
  • Backup engineering support for UK manufactured galvanized tanks
  • Interpretation and use of standards around the world as required
  • Continuous product improvement to develop safe, defendable and economical designs
  • Represent engineering to customers as required by sales team and working closely with all MDs of international offices as required
  • Proactively work closely with sales to provide competitive solutions
  • Conduct training for sales team as needed
  • Provide engineering updates to the sales team as needed
 
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering from a reputable engineering school.
  • Engineering license a plus.
  • Tank design experience a plus
  • If recent graduate, 3.0 minimum GPA required or equivalent.
  • Willing to travel 10% of time
  • Ability to travel throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim.  Passport required.
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
  • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office
