Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day field service support of project management, construction, and channel partners. Successful candidate will have a complex knowledge of construction practices, installation procedures, technical comprehension, practical field application, and strong customer service orientation. Strong organizational skills are required in overseeing multiple issues simultaneously. This position will require candidate to become the in-house expert on installation of the flat-panel jacked tanks and related products.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Receive and manage all incoming field service issues from external customers and channel partners regarding construction and operational issues

Take immediate action to respond to problems and concerns

Visit customer work sites to provide technical guidance and assistance with various product installations

Provide troubleshooting and installation guidance over phone to customers

Review and understand technical drawings and installation procedures related to steel tanks and concrete foundations

Work with engineering or other internal resources to resolve complex design or layout problems

Coordinate with manufacturing resources to resolve quality issues
-
Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions or recommend product improvements

Develop presentations and provide technical installation training to internal customers and channel partners for new product lines or changes to existing products

Evaluate merit and cost of backcharges and warranty claims

Negotiate resolution and close out backcharges and warranty claims
-
Demonstrate initiative and be able to interpret and resolve complex issues

In conjunction with the project managers, responsible for maintaining good working relationships and promoting good customer relations

Capable of solving practical issues quickly, handling multiple tasks and organizing resources to support customers and develop positive relationship with channel partners

Good computer and technical skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

Work Conditions:

Extensive visits to construction job sites in all weather conditions

Use hand tools and other equipment and perform some manual labor

Lift minimum of 70 lbs

Perform work from elevated work surfaces
Formal Education & Certification:
-
Four (4) year technical or engineering degree (or equivalent advanced degree) plus extensive experience in construction (minimum 5 years)

General construction safety knowledge and training
-
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Up to 80% travel (primarily domestic & Canada)
Must have valid drivers license and ability to obtain passport.
