Position Summary
Assists with design and implementation of corporate systems and procedures. Works with management to define and document business standards. Works with users to identify systems requirements necessary to assure accurate and efficient processing of work. The work includes analyzing current processing procedures and standards, identifying and writing user requirements for administrative systems, planning systems implementation, testing systems procedures and training users.
Responsibilities

Works with the business to assess customer requirements, evaluate alternatives, and develop solutions.

Provides technical guidance to managers and users in design of procedures.

Estimates, prepares and maintains project schedules and reports status to management.

Ensures that system designs and procedures comply with corporate standards and procedures.

Stays current with changes in technology as well as changes within the Corporation. Uses this knowledge to recommend improvement in systems and procedures.

Acts as a project leader when so assigned, taking responsibility for tasks necessary for project completion.

Provides input for cost/benefit analysis of proposals, estimation of budgets, timelines, and resources required for successful and timely completion of projects.

Maintains professional contacts with other companies, research bodies, and equipment manufacturers concerning computer applications and equipment. Keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations in the data processing field.

Follows the software development methodology to ensure quality implementation. Follows the application release management and change control processes to ensure integrity of the production environment. Builds, publishes, and maintains system release schedules for all work within the company/ departmental teams. Manages release bridge calls during implementations

Documents high level designs in a macro design document. Creates detailed program specifications in a micro design document. Develops unit test cases. Develops documentation for new and existing code. Develops detailed procedural documentation and training materials.
Education & Certification
-
Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science or Business Management is required

Master degree is highly desirable.
Experience Required
-
Three to five years in a similar position is required.
Knowledge & Experience
-
Proficiency in a variety of Object Oriented programming languages
-
Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.

Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with Oracle & MS SQL .
-
Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.

Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.

Familiar with current technology concepts, practices, and procedures

Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus
