Position Summary

The Inside Sales Support position responsibilities include regular communication with customers and manufacturer’s representatives, review of construction plans and specifications, generating proposals and handling customer requests.  The position is classified as salary exempt reporting to the Manager, Technical Sales Support.

Responsibilities
  • Solicit and develop client relationships and with existing and new accounts as directed by the Manager, Technical Sales Support;
  • Review plans and specifications, generate proposals, and handle customer inquiries;
  • Generate various conceptual drawings, sketches, and specifications on specific jobs;
  • Support company’s network of independent sales representatives as needed; 
  • Interact with various departments as needed to support sales and complete tasks;
  • Research specific laws, regulations and ordinances which might generate possible opportunities for new business; and
  • Attend various market specific trade shows; interact with clients; build relationships;
  • Generate internal requests for engineering design and estimates based on customer requirements;
  • Review estimates and prepare sales proposals;
  • Maintain quoting/product database (SalesForce) up to date;
  • Process sales orders and coordinate with other departments for proper product delivery;
  • Service customer requests to price repairs, replacements, or process of warranty work;
  • Regular follow up with customers and rep’s to build relationships and ensure proposals, deliverables and other communications meet our customer’s needs;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Technical Sales Support.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in technical/industrial, business or related fields.  Bachelor degree desirable;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to read and understand technical/construction plans and specifications;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • General knowledge of construction procedures and processes; and
  • Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point;
  • Working knowledge of SalesForce and AutoCAD is desirable but not required;
  • Spanish speaking, reading, writing capabilities, a significant plus.

Work Conditions

  • Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
