Description
We are looking for a Warranty Administrator for our DeKalb, IL location.

The Warranty Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day coordination and management of the warranty process. Successful candidate will have a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, warranty processing, and claims administration.  Strong organizational skills are required to coordinate all information with various sales channels and internal customers.   
 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage warranty claims processing for an agricultural equipment division.
  • Receive, manage, log and process all incoming field service warranty claims from dealer network
  • Evaluate merit and cost of backcharges and warranty claims with respect to warranty policy
  • Work closely with field service, project management, engineering and accounting to facilitate claim processing and resolution in a timely manner
  • Obtain proper authorizations to resolve claims
  • Compile and report out necessary data to internal resources and external dealers
  • Manage RMA’s and vendor counter-claims
  • Coordinate Warranty Reserve process with accounting and internal resources as required
  • Perform other administrative duties as required to support Field Service Operations
  • Take immediate action to respond to problems and concerns
  • Manage contractor licensing process and contractor pre-qualification or certifications
  • Proactively identify warranty trends and facilitate solutions or product improvements
  • Develop and coordinate regular reporting with accounting and engineering
  • Demonstrate initiative and be able to interpret and resolve complex issues
  • In conjunction with the project managers, responsible for maintaining good working relationships and promoting good customer relations
  • Capable of solving practical issues quickly, handling multiple tasks and organizing resources to support customers and develop positive relationship with channel partners
  • Good computer and technical skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

 Formal Education & Certification:
 
  • Minimum of associate degree in business or accounting or 3 years of claims processing experience
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills
