Description
We are looking for a Director of Construction for CST Covers, this position can be based out of our Conroe, TX or Gardena, CA location. 

Here are some details about this position:

Supervises all CST Covers construction activities including installations and subcontracted projects.  Responsible for directing and managing the field construction activities for all CST Covers installations.  Review project progress, address issues, and adjust schedules and budgets.  Review scope of work, contracts, and construction plans, and schedule and assign work.  Work with customers to develop and maintain a positive relationship.  Develop and sell our CST brand to our customers.  

Responsibilities:
  • The successful execution of all CST Covers construction activities within the allocated time frame and budget.
  • Ensuring that all construction activities are conducted in a safe manner, and comply with all OSHA, CST Covers, and customers’ safety requirements.
  • Facilitating continuous communication between the field crews (Foremen) and the corporate office (PM, Engineering, Senior Management).
  • Maintaining and in-depth and intimate knowledge of all CST Covers product lines.
  • Maintaining liaison and coordination with the other departments within CST Covers including Sales, PM, and Engineering.
  • Providing construction support to Sales, PM, and Estimating in the form of crane lift plans, construction plans, project schedules, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills commensurate with maintaining excellent customer relations.
  • Reporting the status of all of the jobs on a weekly basis including the progress relative to the schedule and budget, any identified safety and/or quality issues, and any anticipated problems (and their impact on the scheduled completion date) to the President
  • Ensuring that the field foremen have the necessary tools, equipment, and safety equipment to successfully complete the work.
  • Ensuring an atmosphere that promotes the growth/training of all field personnel.
  • Maintaining and accounting for company tools and equipment.
  • Complying with, and enforcing all safety rules and standards.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years’ experience in construction with specific experience in the erection of pre-engineered structures.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to train, guide and monitor the performance of the Field Operations Supervisor.
Must be capable of climbing and working from the elevated positions.
 
Up to 25% travel
