We are looking for an Director of Structural Engineering in our Conroe, TX location.

Here are some details about this position:  Safely create and drive growth by applying and performing efficient and effective structural analysis to the design of aluminum covers and various options. Responsible for working closely with sales, project management, drafting resources, IT, and CST structural engineering teams globally. Constantly improve engineering quality and on time performance. Supervise and manage all CST Covers structural engineers.
 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the CST Covers Structural Engineering team and the design process

• Ensure safety, quality, compliance, and integrity of CST Covers structural designs

• Improve engineering design quality; reduce errors

• Improve engineering design efficiency

• Engineering oversight and approval for design & estimating software

• Improve engineering design turnaround and responsiveness (OTD)

• Improve CST Cover’s structural design competitiveness without sacrificing Safety, Quality or On- time delivery.

• Responsible for CST Covers structural design and calculations

• Structural review of drawings

• Maintaining Professional Engineering status.

• Stamping drawings and calculations as required

• Managing the Schedule & Visual Management Boards for the Structural Design team

• Mentor and train other engineers

  
  Job Requirements: 
   

• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.

• Professional Engineering license

• Minimum of 10 years of experience doing structural design engineering

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.

• Willing to travel 10% of time

• Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times

• Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment

• High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office

• Experience with FEA structural analysis a plus

• Programming experience a plus

• Experience with document management systems like Product Center and/or Vault and document control processes a plus

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus
